I’m Pranav! I’m a recent graduate from the ANU, where I studied computer science and machine learning under the Bachelor of Philosophy (PhB). I did my honours project in machine learning optimisation under Dylan Campbell (ANU) and Joao Henriques (Oxford).
My most recent adventures this year have been:
- Doing alignment research at Oxford where I looked at steering vectors for open source models.
- SWE Baselining for METR
- Looking at information-theoretic evaluations for LLMs under UK AISI
- Moving to London to explore and build a startup through Entrepreneurs First
- Relocating to San Francisco as of September
Amongst other things, I’ve worked as a software engineer at IMC Trading and CSIRO. I’ve published a paper on Vision Transformers, which won Best Paper Runner Up at DICTA. I’m also generally interested in computer science and machine learning stuff, such as algorithmic programming, systems and architecture, and science of DL.
Check out my research and my blog if you’re interested! If you’d like to chat, you can book a meeting with me here.
